Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a systematic process of assessing an individual's physical capacities and functional abilities. The FCE matches human performance levels to the demands of a specific job or work activity or
occupation, it also establishes the physical level of work an individual can perform.
The FCE is also useful in determining job placement, job accommodation, or returning
to work after injury or illness. Our
skilled staff offers an intensive FCE,
ranging in length from 4 to 6 hours. |

The McLaughlin team offers specialized fabrication of orthotics - custom-made shoe inserts that help remedy alignment problems involving the foot, ankle and lower extremities. Patients who may benefit include those with heel spurs, high arches, flat feet and other foot conditions. A skilled therapist performs an extensive gait analysis and lower extremity evaluation to assure a comfortable fit and ongoing patient compliance. |

Sports Massage
Sports Massage is Swedish Massage using the special techniques of compressions, jostling, skin rolling, transverse friction, gliding, kneading, deep stroke, skin friction, and percussion. It is used for working on athletes' pre and post event, for therapeutic/training massage, and for addressing the soft-tissue discomfort associated with injuries.
The purpose of Sports Massage is to free up the body for motion. It is designed to make the athlete as Good as possible, as Safe as possible for as Long as possible. Athletes are often on the verge of injury. As they push to get better they constantly stretch their limits. |
